We are pleased to be reopening and are taking all appropriate measures to reduce the risks from Covid -19 to our guests and staff.
Before your arrival and after your departure rooms will be sanitized and ventilated and not used for twenty-four hours.
Social distancing will be in place for check in and check out and payment will be by card on arrival – we can take payment from the card which you used to reserve the room if you wish.
As some of our corridors and stairs are quite narrow please can you check that they are clear before entering in order to keep social distancing.
Sanitizers will be available at the front door, on each floor and also in the breakfast room. Common areas and door handles, bannister rails etc. will be sanitised on a regular basis.
There will be no buffet breakfast, all food will be served by a member of staff and tables will be suitably distanced. Please tell the waitress if you have any allergies or food preferences when she takes your order.
We will continue to maintain our high standards of hygiene in bedrooms and bathrooms using anti- bacterial cleaners.
Information literature, brochures and room folders have been removed from bedrooms together with some of the complimentary products which we usually provide. In addition, we have taken out some soft furnishings which normally enhance the rooms.
All bed linen will be laundered to a high commercial standard.
We request that all used towels are placed in the plastic bag provided and left in the shower or bath at the end of your stay. Please do the same if you would like towels changed during your stay.
The only service provided to your room will be bins emptied, tea trays replenished and towels changed if you follow the instructions above. This will minimise risk to staff and to yourselves. If you prefer not to have a member of staff enter your room - please put the ‘Do not disturb’ sign on the door.
As, at the moment, we cannot use the residents lounge, the bar will also remain closed. We are happy for you to buy drinks from the co-op over the road which is open until 10pm and take them to your room. Glasses will be provided.
We would ask that anybody showing any sign of Covid -19 while they are staying with us should inform us immediately, self-isolate in their room and request a test. If positive please return home straight away in your own transport. We will inform guests present and future, following the government guidelines.
We hope that this information is useful and easy to follow to help you to enjoy your stay at Ascot House. We would point out however that government guidelines are constantly changing and we are following the latest advice.
